Making a payment

The service works with card and virtual vouchers. Virtual vouchers can only be purchased using a credit or debit card, using our WorldPay payment service provider, when you follow a link marked with an amount, e.g. £0.05. At that time, you are also offered the opportunity of entering the voucher number and nine letter password from a card voucher you have purchased from one of a number of suppliers. This page lists the suppliers of card vouchers, both in the U.K. and elsewhere who have asked us to make their details available.

Suppliers of Card Vouchers

All vouchers have a maximum life of six months from the date their details are entered on the system. The card details can only be entered once and their value is then tied to that account. Some suppliers do not stock both five and ten pound denominations.

findmypast.com have confirmed that any credit remaining when the FamilyHistoryOnline service ends will be transferred to that service. See our findmypast FAQ for more details.

These vouchers are ideal if you dislike entering your credit card details online or you want to buy a present for a family history friend.

The following family history societies can supply vouchers directly by mail order or, in the case of some societies, only via their bookstalls or at society meetings. Note that the addresses were valid at the time of writing - please try the society's home page in case of difficulty.
